What to Expect on a 1-day Uganda Gorilla Trekking Tour

  • The trek can be challenging, so you should be physically fit and bring a walking stick 
  • You should also bring raincoats and boots 
  • You should not smoke, drink, or eat in the presence of gorillas 
  • You should not use flashlights or cameras to take pictures of the gorillas 
  • You should leave the gorilla habitat clean

Detailed Itinerary - 1 Day Gorilla Trekking in Uganda Tour

Prepare yourself, and at exactly 4:00 am, we leave Kigali for Uganda. The drive from Rwanda to Uganda takes you roughly 4 hours through Katuna or  Cyanika borders to catch up with a pre-trekking briefing at the park headquarters in Bwindi.

 

You will then hike into the jungle in search for mountain gorillas, which may take you several hours depending on the location of these endangered species. You will spend an hour with mountain gorillas and then descend back.

 

Pick your trekking certificate from the park headquarters and return back to Kigali.
