On this 3 days camping gorilla trekking Uganda safari to Bwindi, you will spend 3 days in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park located in southwestern Uganda and home to half of the endangered mountain gorillas (approximately 400 individuals).

Depending on availability of gorilla permits at the time of confirmation, you may trek gorillas in Buhoma, Ruhija, Rushaga or Nkuringo

On your first day of 3 day camping gorilla trekking Uganda safari, our representative will pick from from Kigali Airport or your hotel in Kigali. 

Visit the Genocide Memorial Center  in Kigali. The Kigali Genocide Memorial is the final resting place for more than 250,000 victims of the Genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda.

It honours the memory of the more than one million Rwandans killed in 1994 through education and peace-building.

Later, you will be transferred in about 4, 5 hours to the Lodge. From here you will depart tomorrow for the gorilla tracking!

After an early morning breakfast on your second day of 3 days camping gorilla trekking Uganda safari to bwindi, you will drive to the Park headquarters for registration and joining others for a gorilla trekking briefing about the dos and the don’ts during your Gorilla Trek.

Once this is done, you will trek through thick creepers and undergrowth with your guides to find the Gorillas, which can take you from half an hour to three quarters of the day.

The steeply forested landscape is incredibly dense but crisscrossed by numerous animal trails allowing access to tourists. On your trek, you are likely to spot other primates, birds and rare tree species.

After finding the gorillas, you will be allowed to spend one hour with them before trekking back to the Park headquarter. This is indeed an extraordinary feeling being with these beautiful yet endangered Creatures.

You will be awarded a certificate for participating in gorilla trekking and thus contributing to the conservation of mountain gorillas. Overnight at your booked lodge.
