Kipling Lodge was opened in June 2014. Up until now, Kipling Lodge has been built with the full support of the local community of Namakwanda.

Kipling Lodge has a unique design, resulting in an encounter between two continents, exceptional fine work, and dozens of skilled artisans countrywide. 

Kipling Lodge construction materials have been locally sourced in Uganda, from Kapchorwa, Fort Portal, Kisoro, and Kotido. Kipling's "jungle estate" accommodates more than a hundred bird species, vervet monkeys, iguanas, and otters who occasionally come to this facility.

Jinja City is situated on the shores of Lake Victoria, at the source of the Nile. As a result, it is the distinguished destination of East Africa's adventure capital. In addition, Jinja boasts a rich architectural legacy and a lively past. In addition to it being home to some excellent Indian and local restaurants, it is Uganda's second largest city and a major commercial hub.

Community boat ride

It all began with the Nile River; take a boat ride on the powerful river to view the beautiful sunset and allow its force to calm your spirit. Our staff, working with the local fisherman, will make sure you have a private discussion with them, whether you want to do it with a fishing rod or with a bottle of wine and some snacks. In addition to being given a life jacket, you will be able to safely observe the waterfalls upstream.

Vanilla tour

Ugandan vanilla growers are helping to save the country as its vanilla production increases. To create a vanilla pod, the growers must manually pollinate each vanilla flower. The dry season, which runs from December to February and again from June to August, is the most favorable to visit Jinja, Uganda, because it offers clear skies, perfect weather for activities, and a generally comfortable atmosphere.
